K’s POSTCARDS

The room has three doors
all locked
from the otherside.

*

An earthen burrow
surrounded by no trees.
The mouse
does not sing.

*

Dirty straw in a cage
that seems perfectly empty.
An artist has vanished.

*

The long dark attic
holds only damp sheets
and judges.
