Cat Love

The cat loves his kill,
walks around it in
circles, nuzzles it
softly, purrs
into its wounds,
wants to bring it inside
his soft belly.

Mouse

The mouse
collects footfalls
to make a nest,
gives birth
to a litter of winds.
